Meet Jane Faulkner Coalson.
Jane had a full career in research as a Bio-Chemist. She received her Masters at OU.
She started playing duplicate bridge about five years ago when she retired from her job and from many of her volunteer jobs. Before that, she enjoyed playing party bridge but is now a confirmed duplicate player!
Jane spent five years volunteering as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for the Department of Human Services.
She has also helped run the National Opera Singer's Competition for the Orchestra League and the Youth Auditions for the League. As you can see, Jane is very active in promoting youth participation.
She has also volunteered on the Hotline for People In Crisis AND IF THAT WASN'T ENOUGH, She has been a volunteer at the Edmond Medical Center.
Jane is the mother of two girls and a boy, plus, she also has three step-children. They have blessed her with 4 grandchildren and three step-grandchildren, which keeps Jane very busy!
What you may not know about Jane is that she was also very instrumental in starting and helping to keep the Kings &
Queens game going. This game started as a practice after taking lessons from our director, Linda Hughes, in 2 over 1 bids. The lessons were hosted by Jane at her home and the practices were often held there.
I promised Jane that I would include the following quote even though I think she should be included in the statement as well:
"The success of the Kings & Queens is due to the Manager, Jackie & Co-Manager, Doug."
